Eugene also gets the Giant Head Butt, a 0F 10D multi Strike that has a funky-ass set of text on it for searching.
W00t Non-Elbowable moves.
Here's how the day went:
Round 1:
Rob Kuzmiak (Phenom)
2 x OSP Chain Phenom. I lose two high cards and Eugening Up to Respect Me (first three cards). He drew shit, but I did too. Stopped his Wrap with AIUU, and his Judo with Revo. He Volley This'd something (Spider Web Moonsault). I switch abilities, pop Funak to take back Eugening up. We draw-go for a while. When I draw 2 Ego Boosts and Strat Bulldog, I pitch said Ego Boosts to TIJTB->Strat Bulldog->Torrie's DDT->Takin' Care of Business->Maintain for the lock.
1-0
Round 2: Joe Barrone (JBL)
Divas JBL. He played it smart and picked my hand apart, and I lost the game to Divas Next Gen. I still didn't shuffle well, and you'd think I'd have done that instead of looking for who else is Eugene (Dennis Foley and some guy).
1-1
Round 3: Brian Horton (Chris Benoit)
Once again, I draw like AIDS. I never draw a Technical Drop Kick reversal, nor anything I could play at ALL, and he just picks me apart one Tech Drop Kick at a time. Finishes me with Wolverine's Sharpshooter.
1-2
Round 4: Jimmy O'Brien (Chris Jericho)
Paired up for this one, which gives me some hope as to making the cut, even though Foley is 3-0 at this point. (Other guy tanked). I Regal for the Ego Boost, but he doesn't pull it first turn (hits the Strat Bulldog instead). I reverse his Wrap Wrist Lock with Elbow, switch abilities, and go Strat Bulldog->Torrie's DDT->Holla Holla Holla->Lita's DDT->Thump->Good Ol' Fashioned Mugging.
2-2
Round 5: Some kid (LotEA)
3 x OSP Lotea. AIUU kinda hurts the Leader methinks. Pop it to reverse his first chain move, then switch abilities. Hit him with Derrier Slam->Ego Cutter, then played Ready to Fight (discarding 2 x Ego Boost), pulled Fifth Anniversary back, popped RTF and hit Shhh Chop (putting Ready to Fight back), discarded my last three to play RTF again, popped it, took back Takin' Care of Business, and Maintain'd it for the win. All one turn.
3-2
At this point, Foley's 4-1 with a lesser SOS. If I can win the next match and he loses, I'm in.
Round 6: The top 32 Doink
Kid opened with two Don't Try's, so I couldn't steal his ability nor could I do anything that wasn't 0F. He was a Judo Choker, so he had to work through the two LWA's, but he eventually punched through enough fort that my 0F actions wouldn't work anymore.
3-3
I got some new ideas for Eugene, which I might put into effect soon enough. I have to try him Cheater (Blatent Chokehold is just SO good for him.), and I have more ideas to tweak this deck. It was just a lot of bad hand draws, and running into one of the few superstars that had diversity issues. *shrugs* Luck wasn't with me, and that deck is kinda heavy on luck.
