Here's the breakdown for last night's tourney. Playing Field:
Me- Stone Cold Steve Austin Brian- Big Freakin' Machine Laflamme- Nidia Ray- Sable Scott- Team Angle Rodman- Big Poppa Pump Hillary- Victoria Bojangles- The Crippler Mike- Torrie Wilson (Sorry guys, but I'm just not good at the whole nicknaming superstars thing)
Swiss
Round 1: Rodman
Close match towards the end, but he kept throwing Subs such as Sharpshooters, Boston Crabs, and Inverted Leg Locks more and more towards the end when both of my Reach for the Ropes and unique reversals were in my ringside pile. Just couldn't generate any offense after that.
0-1: Pin Loss
Round 2: Bojangles
He was just an annoying recovery of doom where you need 3 pins to win, since he had both Pay-Per-View Main Event and Wrestlemania in play. The key point in that match for me was when I got off my pump kick first turn and we had a dispute as to whether or not he could pop There's No Holding Me Back after he ended my turn overturning a reversal. He couldn't do anything next turn, so he lost both of his I'm Always On Tops. Then as the match went on I mixed it up with Patented Austin Kick to the Guts and my usual Irish Whip maneuvers of Doom. Then, when he had a few cards left, he kept recovering and I kept reversing. Eventually I won with a Patented Austin Kick to the Gut.
1-1: Count Out Win
Round 3: Bye
2-1: Pin Win
Round 4: Scott
He dropped Hell in a Cell as his Stipulation instead of his usual Indian Strap Match, which surprised since it seemed as if he packed a good # of Actions. During the match I used the DTA-What? combo to rid him of his Do You Live by the 3 I's? Then, since I noticed 2 Step Asides in his hand, I used Do You Want A Hug? to rid him of those and give him 3 JBI's (cause I wasn't planning on playing 2 or more Actions per turn anyway). From there it seemed close towards the end, but once I got 30F I went for the Stone Cold Stunner, but he played When You Thought You Had All the Answers. Next turn I drew the Stunner, via my ability, and pulled out a win.
3-1: Pin Win
Semi Finals
Me vs. Ray Brian vs. Rodman
Semifinal: Ray
First turn, he used 2 Girly Punches on his turn and used his ability twice. Then on my turn, I got off a Patented Austin Kick to the Gut which was reversed on overturn. Then on his next turn he used his ability twice, causing me to lose Stomp A Mudhole... He went for a Shoot Headlock, which I Elbow to the Faced, thus putting me at 6F. Next turn, I Irish Whip-Atomic Back Body Dropped, which he sustained to 5D by dropping the only 4 cards in his hand. Then I hit him with my Austin Elbow Smash and then I ended my turn. For a few turns, it was recover-draw-go for him and draw-go for me. Then after 4 turns of that I eventually pinned him with the Irish Whip-Atomic Back Body Drop.
Finals: Me vs. Brian
Now I know why he was undefeated. I only got 6F throughout the match, and he went to town with all of those wonderful Back to Basics moves. Then he did Hellfire and Brimstone, Fully Loaded, Big Freakin' Powerslam, Chains of Destructon for the victory. Although, if he wanted to add another note to his funny ways of beating me, he could have gone and pinned me with a Hammerlock.
