Easily the worst superstar in the set as of right now. 106/170 (STARTER DECK – FOIL – The Ultimate Survivor) The Ultimate Survivor (Superstar Card) Starting Hand Size: 8 Superstar Value: 2 Superstar Ability: At the end of the Pre-match phase, unless your opponent is Edge, Leader of the Edge Army, has a revealed Enforcer, or is a Legend or Tag Team Superstar, put cards from your hand on the bottom of your Arsenal equal to his printed Superstar Value. Once during each of your turns you may search your Arsenal for 1 Superstar-specific non-Reversal card, reveal it to your opponent, put it into your hand, and shuffle your Arsenal. You may pack cards with the Matt Hardy logo (except the card titled Version 1.0), but you do not count as that Superstar. OK, so you lose cards from your hand if your opponent isn't a Legend, Tag Team, Enforcer, or Edge representation. That drawback might be too steep to make him competitive. His searchable cards: Matt Hardy's Patented Leg Drop Matt's Moonsault Roar for the Fans (x 3) Put It All On The Line Side Effect The Era of Mattitude Has Arrived The Matt Hardy Movement Has Begun The Shirt Is Off He's almost certainly a heel or BASH, just to get that one card that lets him redraw his hand size. 107/170 (ULTRA RARE – FOIL – Matt Hardy) You Couldn’t Pay Me Enough Pre-match Event At the end of the Pre-match phase, discard any number of Superstar-specific cards, your opponent randomly discards the same number of cards, and then look at his hand. When this card is in your Ring area, during your turn you may put this card into your Ringside pile and your next card played this turn is -10F or you may ignore the “Can only be played after…” text. ¶ ¶ ¶ (Activated Card Effect Symbol) Unique F: 0 D: 0 Have at ye, hand, except for Piper, Hurrifriends, and The Booker's. Again, a LOT of synergy with the printed hand card (got to find out that name), but it also gets hurt by it as well. Card SCREAMS for It's Us Vs. Them or Matt's Moonsault to be played afterwards. 108/170 (ULTRA RARE – FOIL – Matt Hardy) Stronger Than Death Reversal: Special Reverse any non-Trademark Finisher card and end your opponent’s turn. Put all cards in your hand on top of your Arsenal; put the same number of cards from your Ringside pile on top of your Arsenal; and then search your Arsenal for 1 card, put it into your hand, and shuffle your Arsenal. Unique F: 15 D: 10 Ummm, pain? That's a really nice reversal, and I guess it's supposed to lead to the Twist of Fate, but Chain decks will gladly take the ten if they can to make sure they get the hand gone. 109/170 (STARTER DECK – FOIL – Matt Hardy) The Matt Hardy Movement Has Begun High Risk + Action When this card is in your Ring area, if you successfully play a unique Superstar-specific card, your opponent discards 1 card. Unique Multi F: 0 D: 4 Best card of the set. ;-) Even for Hardy, it's pretty good. Kinda encourages him to be chain (like just about every other card this set). 110/170 (STARTER DECK – FOIL – Matt Hardy) The Shirt Is Off Action: Foreign Object If your next card played this turn is a maneuver, you may ignore the “Can only be played after…” text. Unique F: 4 D: 3 This wouldn't be terrible if it wasn't a FO. I guess that's why Matt gets to look at his opponent's hand now through the pre, see if there's any Sidewalk Slams around. 111/170 (STARTER DECK – FOIL – Matt Hardy) Indestructible Soul Action / Reversal: Special As an action, put 3 cards from your Ringside pile into your hand. As a reversal, this card is -7F, when overturned, reverse any non-unique maneuver and end your opponent’s turn. Unique F: 7 D: 0 HELLO original Matt Hardy! I can't EVER see putting this card into your ring area...nice effect if you do, but much better as his live forever card. Higher the SSV, the less likely that this deck has to be competitive. He can be a HIGHLY annoying control deck at this point, since all he has to really do to get to 10F is play one HR maneuver and/or a fuckton of actions. His pre is jammed to the overflowing point (Banned, Underrated, Pay Me Enough, that new card, Rochester, Regal, perhaps others...), which could be a serious problem against a guy like Andre or someone who controls the pre well. I kinda like the possibility of going Dynamic, since you can search for Era of Mattitude and search for two Dynamic Grapples. And with Fight with Finlay, you won't get hit with the annoying OSWM. Actually, now that I think about it, the ORIGINAL MH could do VERY well with Fight With Finlay and V1
