Official Statement From CNBC On Layfield; More On Bradshaw Posted By Widro on 06.08.04
CNBC makes it official, Bradshaw/others react...
- PWInsider.com's Dave Scherer has published the following statement obtained from CNBC on JBL's termination:
"CNBC has terminated its relationship with John 'Bradshaw' Layfield following his conduct this past weekend in a wrestling match. We find his behavior to be offensive, inappropriate and not befitting anyone associated with our network."
- Sun-Sentinel reporter Alex Marvez, also affiliated with WrestlingObserver.com, has reported the JBL/CNBC issue. It can be found on Web sites for the Sun-Sentinel as well as the Orlando Sentinel.
- According to 1wrestling.com, Bradshaw was heard backstage at tonight's Smackdown tapings defending his actions (goosestepping and doing a "Hitler salute" at a Germany house show) saying "I did it because I'm a bad guy....that's what I'm supposed to do." WWE workers have been quoted by 1wrestling.com as being "embarassed to work for this company" and calling Bradshaw a "clown... making a fool of himself" while "the entire world was paying tribute to the men who died at D-Day..."
