So, we go into Neutral Ground, Scott and I, and we find out that they scheduled this the same day as the SAT's, so naturally we have a nice, fat 9 person turnout. Anyway, we have 2 Edges, a Rikishi, BoD, TMW, Triple H, and Lita. Scott was APA, and I was TMPT. End result, we both went 2-2, and missed the cut. My fourth match, however, is worth talking about. So, here's a brief report. Round 1: BoD I played a Running Lariat blind. I lost. Pretty much end of story. 0-1 Round 2: Bye Round 3: TMW He won the die roll. I lost...end of story. 1-2 Round 4: Steven Resk's Edge Now, I just wanna say that I have all the respect in the world for Resk, and I am only posting this story here (and asking all of you not to reproduce it on TCO or PCG or any other net board) because it was so surreal that I wanna share with my comrades in arms. He's playing Flunderdog Edge, and he plays only Dawn Marie. So, fine. He loses his backlash deck, nukes Teddy, and just whips the shit out of me. He piled up a massive amount of Fortitude, then I draw my last card and pop Dutchess to get 8 back. I managed to get a Running Lariat, Elbow, and a Running Spinebuster down. So I have about six cards left, and he DUBB's me. I can't stop from hand, so I overturn five to the Chyna Interferes. He has 58 fort, no cards in hand, and I have one card left. My last card...Flip Over Corner Ringpost. Here's the approximate call of the last play of the game, and bear in mind, this is ONE turn that he has no hand, bl deck, or reversals in ringside pile. B: Flip, Flip, Will, Will, Flip, Will, Flip...etc...Time to Play The Game (shuffle 4), Flip, Will, Flip, Will...etc...Little She Devil...Will, Will, Will, Flip, Will, Flip, Will...etc...I Am The Game...etc... etc...Rattlesnake Rulz, DVD, Austin Elbow Smash, Flip, Will, Will, Flip...etc...Open a Can, Get Crowd Support, Get Crowd Support, Little She Devil (plunge total was up to 70 now), Stunner, Pin. No joke, this one turn took ten minutes and, in it, I did 68 damage that he could not stop...and he STILL was ahead of me in fortitude. It was completely surreal, and I am giving MYSELF a headache trying to remember it all. *shrugs*The way the game falls sometimes.
