This is right from the CI Website, gives us an idea of what we are in for next set... nice to see a way around the damn cell at least for some decks that NEED it (and also a re-ruling on using leave a mark to recover via smart mark ) and even better... NO AX KICK FOR YOU on my chain moves!!!! Anyway... I'm done babbling for now ! DO NOT TALK ABOUT VENGEANCE FAQ Finally I get to the point. It took a day or two, but we finalized the rulings and the new ruling templates. This stuff will appear in the Vengeance FAQ that goes up close to the end of the update schedule, but here’s the beep: -Hell in a Cell Match will not stop Heat cards. Playing cards from your Ringside pile is not the same as moving a card from your Ringside pile. Moving a card includes removing cards from the game, putting them into your hand, shuffling them into your Arsenal, putting a card directly into play. Playing a card is entirely different, therefore, it is not susceptible to the effects of Hell in a Cell Match or the Rattlesnake Superstar Ability. [Barron note: I like the mathematical representation of the above: Playing <> Moving] -Chain cards cannot be reversed by Ax Kick, Faceplant, Managed by Terri Runnels etc. Normally Faceplant can reverse any card that has a discard effect (mandatory or not) because your opponent’s discard effects are always considered forced. This is no different than cards like Twisted Smile, so why the opposite ruling? Chain is a trait of the card. Cards like Faceplant and Ax Kick look for text when they determine the potential for search or discard, and the text does not appear on Chain cards. So what about Ego Boost? Yes, Ego Boost will still trigger. Ego Boost doesn’t care about potentiality or card text. It just cares if it was discarded by an opponent’s effect.
