Backstage Area
-The new zone of the game is called the Backstage Area. Enforcer cards and Superstar cards are all revealed from the Backstage Area.
-All Enforcer cards now have Errata stating that they are revealed from the Backstage Area.
-Cards revealed from the Backstage Area are not considered to be in your Ring Area.
-You do not have to reveal every card in your Backstage Area. Cards that remain unrevealed cannot be used in the game.
-The Backstage Area follows the Face/Heel and Raw/Smackdown rules for deck construction.
-You cannot have more than one of each card in your Backstage Area
Chain
-When you play a Chain card, your opponent may discard 2 cards. If he does, he can reverse it from his hand or Backlash deck. If he does not, it cannot be reversed from his hand or Backlash deck. When you successfully play a Chain card and damage has been applied, you may discard 2 cards and then search your Arsenal for 1 Chain card, reveal it to him, put it into your hand, and shuffle your Arsenal.
-Chain is a trait. The Potentiality Rule will not see a forced discard or search effect as this does not appear in the card text. As such, cards like Ax Kick or Faceplant cannot reverse a Chain card just because it has the Chain trait.
-Beating the Odds also does not affect the reversal restrictions generated by the Chain trait. (that's bullshit to me
)
-You get the chance to search for a Chain card before your opponent has the opportunity to play cards such as Took It on the Chin.
Heat
-When you have 6 or more Heat cards in your Ringside pile, once during each turn, you may play 1 Heat card from your Ringside pile. Whenever you move a card from your Ringside pile to any other location for any reason other than playing a Heat card, first remove all Heat cards in your Ringside pile from the game.
-Heat is a trait, not a card effect. Hell in a Cell Match and the Rattlesnake’s ability will not affect either of its ringside pile effects.
-Heat cards act in every way like other cards of their type. You can play a Heat card from Hand or Backlash deck if you wish.
-If played from the Ringside Pile, Heat cards go to your Ring Area as normal (if applicable.)
SUPERSTARS
Adam Copeland
-You must draw a card or have your opponent discard a card. You cannot choose to do neither one.
FBI
-The Action reversal ability is considered to be reversing from hand.
The Mystery Superstar
-You may pack Hybrid Superstar-specific cards as one of the 5 permitted card types.
Paul Heyman
-Stipulations removed via this ability will go back to the Backstage Area. They are still considered revealed.
-Cards in your Backstage area are considered packed, and must conform to the rules of Arsenal construction.
Evolution is a Mystery
-You get to choose 1 card for each 6 cards you discard.
-You discard cards in groups of 6. 3 Cards from each source.
First Blood Match
-If a Pinfall triggers due to this card and that Pinfall is prevented by another effect (such as PPV Main Event) the Pinfall will trigger again immediately
Immune to Pain
-If played by a Cactus Jack or Mankind superstar that is overlaying a Dude Love Superstar card, multiple copies of this card in your Ring Area will prevent you from becoming Dude Love again. This is because the Active rule will prevent anything that causes more than one Active card with the same title to be in your Ring Area.
(weird ruling)
Judo Takedown
-Does not deal damage as it was not actually played.
-May trigger during the Pre-match phase.
Judo Thrust
-Does not deal damage as it was not actually played.
Know Your Role and Shut Your Mouth
-The +1 Pre-Match text is also added to this card.
Las Vegas, Nevada
-The random determination replaces the normal determination of who plays first. Edge’s Superstar Ability will still override this effect, as will the effect of Slandered Online or anything else that predetermines which player plays first.
(don't like that either)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
-You can search for up to 3 cards in any combination listed. (EG, 2 Foreign Object cards and 1 Hardcore card.)
-You may search for Unique cards with Hardcore in the title.
Steel Chain Shot
-The ‘text’ this card refers to is Rules text. It does not count flavor text or traits.
You Rang?
-If you choose your opponent’s next card, you follow the normal rules and restrictions listed under the FAQ entry for Calling You Out.
-If you are forced to choose this card for Calling You Out and your opponent could not legally play it as his next card, he ignores that part of the effect and he may choose to play a different (legal) card. (This can happen with cards like Back to Basics.)
