Okay, here I go with my own...(digs up card)
Round 1: Nilton Arruda (Face Dudleyz) Okay, guy plays 8 Pre-match, including Premier Raw silliness. However, I won the cut and went first, so I played my usual anti-Premier Raw Temper + Head Butt. And the rest of my hand looked like a hand full of shiny reversals. He did Brothers+Superkick, which got uppercutted. He tried Brass Knucks twice, got Masked Vengeance and Tori Enters The Fray. It just fell very badly for him, and I think I beat him with Kane's Chokeslam
1-0
Round 2: Cameron Pratt (Heel Test): We went back and forth on this one...obviously, it's bad that I have nine cards in my hand to open, and he does shred my hand quickly. We went back and forth on it, and it came down to his top deck at the almost-time limit...Don't Hate. With five cards in my arsenal, he grabbed Perplex (which I learned does NOT pin someone) and Suicide Dive to pin me. Great, great Raw Deal game....just obviously wished that I got the one more draw, because the Unmasked Vengeance would have pinned hm.
1-1
Round 3: Eric Pare (Heel (?) Eric Bischoff) Not too much to say about this match...I had sat next to Scott when he played him, and after finishing off the Dudleyz quickly, I got to watch what this guy wanted to do. I made sure that the Roulette Wheel benefitted me, and Old-School Psychs kept his hand down. I managed to avoid Undermine somehow, and ended up pinning him with a clothesline.
2-1
Round 4: JR Kingston (Face Undertaker) Good news: He played Running Lariat, and I eductaed him that you CAN lay out the Surge in that instance. Bad news: I made ONE mistake here, and it cost me the match...he stalled at 31, since the Tombstone was in his deck, and he had nothing left in hand. I should have Drop Toe Hold'd his Knee Smash so he couldn't play it, but I made the mistake of forgetting to count Brothers in his fort. His next draw...one of a kind...mother...
2-2
Round 5: Ryan Alarie (Face 3MW) This guy does the exact same thing as John Macek's BOD deck...get the Shoot Headlock through, pin himself, put back his hand + 2 From the Mind's, then does the Raw into oblivion. Thankfully, he did NOT belt to premier raw, and thankfully, he only managed to do six damage to me, so my entire deck, save a couple elbows, went back in. I then took his three Wheelbarrow Slams and Rico, and started to recover my whole arsenal (Iron Will, Iron Will, In the Presence at 31...) when time expired. We both decided on a coin flip...I won. It sucked a lot that we didn't go back on this one, because he didn't have much left as far as ways to kill me...three Atomic Lariats and 3 Clutches after using Legs for the Wheelbarrow Slam.
3-2
Round 6: Michael Elhouby(?) (Face Crippler) I made the potent mistake of not being able to blank Rules. So, I hit the first move...and decided to waste my second ability card on Commish, since I KNEW he had an elbow in hand. Well, surprise for me, he only had one action in hand, and it was also a reversal. Got rid of that, then threw down BTO, which would later save me from the Series of Suplexes. This deck gave me a pretty good thrashing...he got to 24, including reversing me with Surprise Drop Kick on a commish. But his hand stayed really low, and I pretty much knew everything he had when he had it. I eventually pinned him with Raw Deal+Big Freaky Powerslam.
4-2
Round 7: David Klein (Face Stephanie McMahon) So, here we go, Steph-kishi. He hits a lot of fort early, then stalls. We keep each others hands low, but he pounds me early. I make one mistake during the match...I end up Iron Willing when his only card in hand is Hold The Phone. So, I end up losing this one. Sucks, because it was close, and it came down to he had the right card in hand, but oh well.
4-3
My showing was enough to make 17th seed of 32. So, the 16th seed...
Round 8: Lukas Burla (Face Crippler) The stall-Wrestlemania-PPV Main Event Crippler deck. Ugh...I won the cut, so I temper rules and Head Butt him. And what's in my hand? Big Freak'n Uppercut and Kane's Return. And what does he play next? Lariat Takedown. Pin one ended with a Collar and Elbow Lockup. Pops Wrestlemania...
Comeback 2: He finally forced a Lariat Takedown through, where I find out he has a WYTYHATA (and kept it over Chin). After he gets that through and has no hand, my next card is Drop Toe Hold, eliminating Lariat Takedown. I then tried my luck, forcing a Hip toss through to see if he had Backlash. After finding out he didn't (!!!) I pinned him with a Body Slam Pop PPV Main Event...
Comeback 3: He finally gets a Shoot Headlock to stick. I try an action, and he all talk's. Recalling what he put back (all his maneuver reversals triggered at 5), I hit a clothesline and pinned him for the final time.
Round 9: Dave Fogle (Jericho...not sure what alignment) He won the cut, so the pre-match went really bad for me...I got B2B, and that's it (Highlight Reel/Old-School). He got off his Turn-Up Superkick done. I hit my head butt. He hits Rolling Headlock Vice, and I elbow once and hit the second one on a spin. My second card was Hellfire and Brimstone, so I thought I was in okay shape. He burns Acrobatics on my next move, and gets a butterfly suplex. He Checks out for one of a kind for Y2J, and then knocks me with an irreversible Butterfly Suplex, which I chin. I hit a move, then Mark to get my Big Powerslam and another grapple. He coons my Raw Deal, however, and makes me lose the moves again. We go back and forth, and it ends up...he has about 17 cards left...I have maybe 7. The Breakdown is in his Ringside Pile, and he's holding one card. I draw Kane's Boot to the Face, and figured it'd be a good play followed by a Foot Stomp for a count out, because even if he stops it on overturn, I force him to use one card to get rid of my stun card. His one card in hand was a backslide, and he met the fort requirement...ugh...what a shitty way to lose when I have four playable grapples under B2B.
I think I wanna make it a bigger priority to take this deck to Tower and NG a lot more, so that I can get my big-game experience up. I'm thinking about trying to go to the Dallas qualifier...Gen Con this year is out after this traveling. If I don't, I'll just ready myself for the ones next year, I guess. Aside from the dumb-fuck mistake I made against Fogle, I was quite happy with my performance here. I was in all my games, win or lose. So we'll see how the money flows and how the rest of my situation is before I decide to make that flight.
Oh yeah, I got a Nowinski GRA for my troubles, too.
man, i really suck...
