Yes, actually it is bad (in my opinion) for a few reasons: 1) if he was going to retire, he should have done it prior to the draft so that Jacksonville could fill a void he was leaving and 2) despite his age and problems he faced in 2001, he has been there top receiver, in terms of catches, every year since 1996 and has been one of the top go to guys each year. They will ventually bounce back, but his timing, as far as the team is concerned, is off.
